The new build W shape form creates 2 heart spaces from accommodation looking over
the valley towards Bradford and closed by retained accommodation.
The design is compact to minimise the footprint whilst the W form creates heart spaces
which form as a social hub. A second entrance will be formed for the majority of
pedestrian traffic from the south and the circulation is clear and legible. Passive
supervision is achieved by the open nature of the design with north lights in the
art spaces provide constant good quality natural light without solar gains.

The key steps taken during the construction process to reduce environmental impacts:
Retention of soil on site, reducing waste to landfill. Plasterboard cut to size and
material management through Educo’s ‘Save It’ scheme. Recycled aggregate is utilised

energy impact.
